Using Custom CSS in SchemeServe

Introduction

If you just want to add your logo to SchemeServe or change the colour scheme to one of our preset colour schemes, you don't need to use CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). However, if you wish to have complete control over the look and feel of your website then you may add your own CSS to SchemeServe very easily. You must login to SchemeServe as an Administrator to use custom CSS.

Important Note

ADM Network does not support the CSS language as part of a standard SchemeServe agreement. That means we cannot assist with any issues that your CSS code creates. Please do not send support requests regarding the CSS language to our customer service team. However, on request we may be able to recommend books or training courses to help your development team learn CSS. We are also able to produce CSS on your behalf on a paid contractual basis, please contact us for a quotation for this.

ADM Network bears no responsibility for issues caused either directly or indirectly by the use of custom CSS entered using this facility.

IMPORTANT, you should never refer to external resources in your custom CSS using an unsecure link (do not use http:// use https:// instead). Not only may SchemeServe refuse to load that resource and leave your page in a 'broken' state, are you compromising the security of your site.

Using Custom CSS in SchemeServe

  1. Click on the Admin Tab
  2. Click on the Website Icon
  3. Click on the Custom CSS Tab
  4. IMPORTANT Before you make any changes to your current CSS, it is recommended that you take a copy of any CSS code already in this box. That makes it easy for you to “roll back” new CSS implementations in the case of any issues resulting from the new code. You should copy the CSS code and paste it into a text editor (such as Notepad++) rather than using a word processor.
  5. After making a backup of the existing CSS code, paste the new CSS code over the old CSS code in the window
  6. Click on Save Changes to finish the process
